Request for Qualifications and Fees —
School District Audit Services LaHarpe School District is seeking interest from Certified Public Accounting firms to provide external audit services beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. Our current auditor, Dennis Koch of Quincy, Illinois, is retiring.
The selected firm must be licensed in Illinois and able to perform audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), applicable Government Auditing Standards, the Illinois School Code, and Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) reporting requirements. Services include completion of the annual audit, preparation and submission of the Annual Financial Report (AFR) and required schedules, and presentation of audit results to the Board of Education if requested.
Interested firms are asked to submit a brief response including:
- Firm name and primary contact information
- Summary of relevant school district or governmental audit experience
- Anticipated audit timeline for a June 30 year-end
- Proposed fee schedule for the annual audit (and Single Audit, if applicable)
- Identification of key personnel assigned to the engagement
Responses are requested by 5:00 p.m. CST on January 19, 2026. The District may, at its discretion, consider submissions received after this date.
